DAY 30 - LESSON 30
I HEAR GOD'S VOICE ALL DAY
Today I open my mind and heart in such a way that I can hear God speak to me and give me direction. I am open and able to receive His guidance. When He speaks to me, holy ideas come to my mind. God also speaks to me through my brothers and sisters when they are sharing their love with me. I hear God's voice all day.
ASSIGNMENT FOR DAY 30
Thank everyone for his or her inner goodness. Do not thank or agree with Ego; thank the part of everyone that is peaceful. Thank everyone's inner being.

THANK YOU, GOD !
Today I thank God for all that I am. Regardless of what my life looks like at this time, I know that every experience is occurring exactly the way it is supposed to, for my highest good. I give thanks for this, and I continue on to each new experience, knowing that each is better than the one before, because I now have a greater understanding of who I really am. God is now in control of my life, and I am very thankful. Today I thank God.
ASSIGNMENT FOR DAY 29
Say "Thank You," either silently or aloud, to all of the people you meet. Say it sincerely - from your heart. See all of the people you meet as God, just as you see yourself as God. Understand that you are not thanking their Egos, but you are thanking who they truly are. You are thanking the God within them.
Affirmation: Thank you, peaceful Earth.

I SEE ONLY GOD IN ALL OF MY AFFAIRS
Today I am completely vigilant for the light in everything I do. I know, at every moment, that everything happens to bring me closer to my goal, which is peace. Every action I take comes from my willingness to do my function of healing. Today I see only God in all of my affairs.
ASSIGNMENT FOR DAY 28
Sit for fifteen minutes in a quiet place - later in the day is preferable. Look at yourself, your growth. Acknowledge how far you have come.
Affirmation: Peace is everywhere.

Weekly Meditation for August 30, 2009

John 21:1-4
"After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias; and he showed himself in this way. Gathered there together were Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples. Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We will go with you." They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus."
I have always found it a curious thing that Jesus waited on the beach for them after an unsuccessful night of fishing. I find it even more puzzling that the disciples did not know it was him. How can that be? Are there times in our lives, perhaps times when we have struggled, and Jesus stands on the shore of our troubles, waiting and looking for us?
I can think of many times in my life when Christ was right there but I, being so consumed with my problems, missed his presence. I walked right on by and did not even notice Christ's loving care, always available and open to me. Some of these times, Christ was present through people I did not expect Christ to use to minister to me. Christ can show up wherever and whenever we need him. He can show up in people and in situations we never expected to find him in.
The disciples were fisherman. Their livelihood depended on catching fish. They lived in a community, each one being present to the others, and so they set out together on the Sea of Tiberias. Together they failed to find any fish. Defeated, tired and probably worried about their immediate future, both individually and collectively, they found their way to the shore. There Jesus waited for them.
In these tough economic times, when many households are struggling to make ends meet, let alone manage any unplanned bills, it can feel like we are living through a night like the disciples in this story. We can find comfort that in the end, when it is all said and done, Jesus is there, waiting to provide comfort and care to us. We can only find the heart of Christ in the quiet solitude on the shore, out of the hustle and bustle of the sea. May each of us take time this week to find the unexpected Christ in the midst of our struggles and daily demands.

I AM BLESSED AS A CHILD OF GOD
As a child of God, I have all the gifts of life available to me at every moment. The gifts of joy, peace, love, prosperity, abundance, power and choice are mine; they are already in my life. As I acknowledge and recognize these gifts, they manifest more frequently and abundantly. My blessings are infinite, and my life is filled with peace and absolutely effortless prosperity. I am blessed as a child of God.
